Heat Leads Delaware to Cancel Aug. 13 Card

Delaware Park has canceled live racing for Aug. 13 because of excessive heat in the Wilmington, Del., area.
The decision was made in conjunction with state veterinarians. An excessive heat warning for heat index values over 110 is in place through the afternoon of Aug. 14.
Officials said live racing is scheduled to resume Aug. 15.
