In her career debut, juvenile filly Risque's Legacy scored a front-running victory in a maiden special weight race Aug. 13 at Emerald Downs to become the first winner for Washington-based freshman sire Atta Boy Roy .
A grade II winner on the track, Atta Boy Roy stood the 2016 season for $2,000 at Blue Ribbon Farm near Buckley. An 11-year-old son of Tribunal, Atta Boy Roy is out of Irish Toast, by Synastry. He is a half brother to stakes winner The Great Face.
Owned by Roy Schaefer and trained by Valerie Lund, Washington-bred Atta Boy Roy won four stakes including the 2010 Churchill Downs Stakes (gr. II). He placed in five other stakes, including two other grade III races at Churchill Downs.
Karl Krieg homebred Risque's Legacy opened a clear lead early in Saturday's fourth race under Rocco Bowen and continued to add to that advantage throughout the five-furlong dirt race to post a nine-length score in :56.77. Risque's Legacy is out of Risque Humor, by Mingun.
