Tara's Tango wins the 2016 Santa Maria Stakes.

Bob Baffert will bid to win the Rancho Bernardo Handicap (gr. III) for a third time when he sends out Pretty N Cool and Enchanting Lady against grade I winner Tara's Tango Aug. 17 at Del Mar.

The 6 1/2-furlong Rancho Bernardo, which drew seven fillies and mares, goes as race seven on the eight-race card, with an approximate post time of 5:10 PDT.

Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, Tara's Tango captured the Santa Maria (gr. II) in February and Santa Margarita (gr. I) in March. The daughter of Unbridled's Song makes her first start in three months since finishing third in her subsequent outing in the Apple Blossom (gr. I) April 15 at Oaklawn Park.

Pretty N Cool and Enchanting Lady were the respective 1-2 finishers in the six-furlong C.E.R.F. Stakes July 20 at Del Mar.

Pretty N Cool, a 3-year-old Kentucky-bred daughter of Scat Daddy   owned by Mike Pegram, Karl Watson, and Paul Weitman, won the first two starts of her career at Del Mar last year, a maiden in mid-July and the Sorrento Stakes (gr. II) last August. Her 1 1/2-length victory in the C.E.R.F. Stakes marked a return from a six-month layoff.

Kaleem Shah's two-time stakes winner Enchanting Lady, a grade I-placed, 4-year-old daughter of Tale of the Cat  , is aiming for her first graded win and will try to end a four-race winless stretch dating back to her victory in the in an allowance-optional claiming race in February at Santa Anita Park. Two starts later she finished third in the Humana Distaff (gr. I) in May at Churchill Downs.

Baffert sent out Behaving Badly for back-to-back in 2005 and 2006.

Terry Lovingier's Cal-bred Lost Bus, a daughter of Bring the Heat who defeated Tara's Tango in the Santa Monica (gr. II) in January, also was entered by trainer Gary Sherluck.
