Eight candidates are seeking to fill six available positions on the Breeders' Cup board of directors, the organization announced June 26.
The candidates are:

Antony Beck*
Bill Casner
William S. Farish, Jr.* (Chairman)
Bobby Flay
W. Bruce Lunsford
Dan Pride
Elliot Walden*
* Denotes incumbent directors whose terms expire at the July 15 annual meeting of Members.
The group of 45 Breeders' Cup Members are the ones who will vote to fill the vacancies. The election runs through July 15, the day of the annual meeting of Members. The election results will be announced following the meeting.
The four candidates receiving the most votes will serve four-year terms; the two receiving the fifth-highest and sixth-highest placed votes will each serve a one-year term.
A total of 14 directors serve on the Breeders' Cup board, 13 of whom are elected by the Members. The president and CEO, Craig R. Fravel, is an ex officio director with full voting rights.
