Grade II winner Miss Behaviour, who picked up the third stakes win of her career in her previous start, will try to continue that winning form in the $150,000 Victory Ride Stakes (gr. III) Sunday, June 29 at Belmont Park.
Cal MacWilliam and Neil Teitelbaum's Miss Behaviour recorded the top victory of her career at Belmont last year when the Jump Start filly scored a clear victory in the Matron Stakes (gr. II). She earned that graded stakes win after taking the Sorority Stakes at Monmouth Park.
Miss Behaviour will try to continue that pattern—winning a graded stakes after taking a listed stakes—when she enters Sunday's 6 1/2-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies off a victory in the Miss Preakness Stakes May 16 at Pimlico Race Course.
The status of Miss Behaviour's jockey, Sheldon Russell, is up in the air after he injured a foot in a paddock accident at Arlington Park on Thursday, June 26.
While many of the Victory Ride fillies are lightly raced, they are an accomplished group as five of the seven boast stakes wins. Four of the fillies enter off stakes wins as Miss Behaviour is joined by Isabelle, Street Story, and Red Velvet in that category.
Three Diamonds Farm's Red Velvet won a May 2 allowance race at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course by 9 3/4 lengths and the City Zip filly enters off a 5 3/4-length win in the Jersey Girl Stakes May 26 at Belmont.
