Three Rules stays undefeated with his fourth straight win

Three Rules and Cajun Delta Dawn scored for a second time in their respective divisions of the Florida Sire Stakes series for 2-year-olds Sept. 3 at Gulfstream Park

Shade Tree Thoroughbreds' homebred Three Rules is perfect in four starts after drawing away to a 5 1/2-length victory in the $300,000 Affirmed division. Ridden by Cornelio Velasquez for trainer Jose Pinchin, the son of Gone Astray   covered seven furlongs in 1:23.89 on a fast track.  In his previous start, he romped to seven-length triumph in the six furlong Dr. Fager division Aug. 6.

Front Loaded finished second, a length in front of Legacy Azteca.

Shade Tree Thoroughbreds bred the colt in partnership with Geoff Roy and Tom Fitzgerald.

Curtis G. Mikkelsen's homebred Cajun Delta Dawn snared her second victory in the Florida Sire series as well, winning the $300,000 Susan's Girl division for fillies by five lengths.

Trained by David Fawkes, the daughter of Kantharos   vied for the early lead before taking over after the opening quarter-mile, and finished seven furlongs in 1:24.91 under Juan Leyva. Stormy Embrace was up for second, and U S Diva was third in the field of six.

Cajun Delta Dawn, bred by Mikkelsen bred with Patricia Horth, captured the six-furlong Desert Vixen division of the three-race division for juvenile fillies Aug. 6.

In the series' $150,000 Prized division for 3-year-olds, Jacks or Better Farm's homebred multiple graded winner Awesome Banner fanned five wide in the turn and closed overtake runner-up Mr. Kisses in deep stretch, winning by a neck under Tyler Gaffalione.  The son of Awesome of Course, trained by Mark Casse, finished seven furlongs on dirt in 1:22.88. Unbridled division winner Dream of Me checked in third.

"He's a speed horse and he'd been grinding it out," Casse assistant Jamie Begg said of Awesome Banner. "He was always the horse that everyone was trying to beat. It's easier to try to make someone lose than to win. But with the outside post we were able to take him back and let them burn themselves out. Tyler gave him a good ride."

The $150,000 Jewel Princess division for 3-year-old fillies went to Averill Racing and Silver Oaks Stable's R Kinsley Doll. Trained by Ralph Ziadie and ridden by Gaffalione, she won by a neck from Ballet Diva. She's Incredible was third. Final time for the 1 1/16-mile turf contest was 1:41.98 on firm turf.

A daughter of Big Drama   bred by Palm Beach Racing, R Kinsley Doll also scored in the first division for sophomore fillies, the Aug. 6 Three Rings.
