A track situated on the Kentucky-Tennessee border, I’d heard about Kentucky Downs for years but had never before made it to the track for its short September meet.
So on Saturday, I cleared my schedule and headed 2 ½ hours down the freeway to Franklin, Ky., to see what all the fuss was about. Let me start by saying, it was worth the drive!
