Flintshire and Lady Eli headed a sizable contingent of Chad Brown trainees breezing Sept. 12 at Belmont Park.

Flintshire, targeting the Oct. 1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic (gr. IT), went four furlongs in :50.08 on the lawn in his first move since winning the Aug. 27 Longines Sword Dancer (gr. IT) at Saratoga Race Course. Flintshire, 3-for-3 in 2016 with wins in the Woodford Reserve Manhattan (gr. IT), Bowling Green Stakes (gr. IIT), and Sword Dancer, breezed in company with Money Multiplier.

Money Multiplier, who also worked for the first time since the Sword Dancer, finished just three-quarters of a length behind his stablemate his third runner-up finish in a grade I this year. Klaravich Stables and William Lawrence's runner also came in second in the United Nations Stakes and the Man o' War Stakes.

Lady Eli breezed in company with Sea Calisi, each going four furlongs in :47.66 over the firm turf course. It was the first work for Lady Eli since her return from a 13-month layoff to post a second-place finish in the Aug. 27 Ballston Spa (gr. IIT) at Saratoga. Sea Calisi took the Aug. 13 Beverly D. Stakes (gr. IT) at Arlington International Racecourse and was making her second work back since the win.

Beach Patrol went four furlongs in :50.04 in his third work since winning the Aug. 13 Secretariat Stakes (gr. IT).

"They all came out of it fine, I was happy with all of them," said Brown, who is at the Keeneland September yearling sale.
