Hronis Racing's Stellar Wind, the champion 3-year-old filly of last year and last-out winner of the Clement L. Hirsch (gr. I) over three-time champion Beholder July 30 at Del Mar, logged her fourth drill in preparation for the Zenyatta Stakes (gr. I) Oct. 1 at Santa Anita Park, where she may encounter Beholder again.
The 4-year-old Curlin filly covered five furlongs in 1:00 2/5 at Santa Anita for trainer John Sadler, working in company with a stablemate.
Reddam Racing's Nyquist, the champion 3-year-old male of 2015 and Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner, continued his training at San Luis Rey Training Center in north San Diego County with a mile move in 1:39 4/5. It was the Uncle Mo colt's third straight mile work at San Luis Rey for trainer Doug O'Neill, following a fourth-place finish in the Betfair.com Haskell Invitational (gr. I). The first was in 1:45 4/5 Aug. 27 and the second was in 1:41 1/5 Sept. 3. He's expected to race next in the $1 million Pennsylvania Derby (gr. II) at Parx Racing.
Juddmonte Farms' Arrogate logged his first drill back at Santa Anita Saturday following his record-setting run in the Aug. 27 Travers. The Unbridled's Song colt ran a half-mile in :49 1/5 for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert.
