NBCSN to Pick Up Shadwell Turf Mile Broadcast

Keeneland’s $1 million Shadwell Turf Mile (gr. I) will be broadcast live today on NBC Sports Network from 6-6:30 p.m. EDT.
NBC Sports will feature the $400,000 First Lady (gr. I) and $500,000 Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity (gr. I) as part of its “Breeders’ Cup Challenge Win and You’re In Series presented by Lane’s End Farm and America’s Best Racing” live from Keeneland from 5-6 p.m.
A power outage this morning resulted in Keeneland delaying the start of Saturday’s 10-race card. Post time for the first race was rescheduled from 1:05 p.m. to 1:40 p.m. That change pushed back the stakes schedule as NBC originally was going to show the Breeders' Futurity and Turf Mile.
“Keeneland thanks NBC Sports for providing the additional air time to broadcast the Shadwell Turf Mile,” said Keeneland vice president of racing and sales Bob Elliston.
On Sunday, Oct. 9, NBC Sports will air the Juddmonte Spinster (gr. I) and Dixiana Bourbon (gr. III) as part of its racing coverage, also scheduled from 5-6 p.m.
