First Tickets Available for Pegasus World Cup

The first block of reserved seating tickets for the $12 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (gr. I) Jan. 28 at Gulfstream Park are are now available. 

Seating costs range from $100 to $765 and cover a broad range of experiences from trackside views to luxury suite accommodations.

Available now are seats in 11 different areas around the racetrack, and in sports bars and restaurants adjacent to the track in The Village at Gulfstream Park. The following is a sample of the per-person ticket prices and areas:

—Ten Palms restaurant: $550-$765

—Christine Lee's restaurant: $500

—Grandstand: $180-$225

—Walking Ring: $130

—Sport of Kings Theater: $300

—Silks Simulcast Center: $150-$215

—Stretch's Tiki Bar: $100-$175

Tickets for the Pegasus World Cup are available for purchase online at pegasusworldcup.com. Tickets can also be purchased at Gulfstream from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST on live race days.

The Pegasus World Cup is unique in that 12 owners have put up $1 million each to reserve a spot in the starting gate. These stakeholders get the chance to compete for a piece of the $12 million purse, the world's richest for a single race, plus receive a portion of the revenue derived from the pari-mutuel handle, media rights, and sponsorships. The winner's share of the purse is $7 million.

The 12 stakesholders are California Chrome LLC, Reddam Racing, Ron and Jerry Frankel, James McIngvale, Coolmore Partnership, Mohammed Faissal al Saud and Earle Mack, Starlight Pegasus Partners, Dan Schafer, Adena Spings, Reeves Thoroughbred Racing, Rosedown Racing Stables, and Ruis Racing.

The Pegasus World Cup will be broadcast live on NBC from 4:30-6 p.m. EST and will be simulcast worldwide in partnership with Henry Birtles Associates.
