Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) winner Cathryn Sophia will skip the Breeders' Cup, according to Mark Taylor of Taylor Made Sales Agency, which will offer the filly at the Fasig-Tipton November sale.

John Servis said the Maryland-bred Street Boss   filly had a high white-blood-cell count after her third-place run in the Cotillion (gr. I) and the trainer didn't see enough from her in a recent work to warrant a trip to Southern California.

"I watched her very closely after the race and actually she recovered from that remarkably fast," Servis said. "I gave her a little work (Oct. 12), which I thought was solid (:47.46 for a half-mile at Parx Racing), but I really wanted to see spectacular. Horses of this quality are a rarity and you have to take care of them. Her Oaks win was the kind of performance you never forget as a trainer. It is a great feeling to see her end the year healthy and happy."

"What a ride this has been. I mean, she has won six of nine races for us by over 50 lengths," added owner Chuck Zacney, who races as Cash is King. "We have been so blessed in the horse business with Afleet Alex   and now Cathryn Sophia."

After her Kentucky Oaks score, Cathryn Sophia ran third behind Carina Mia in the Acorn (gr. I) and behind Songbird in the Cotillion, with a victory in the Princess of Sylmar Stakes sandwiched in between. She started off her 3-year-old campaign with wins in the Forward Gal (gr. II) and Davona Dale (gr. II) at Gulfstream Park.
