Minnesota Horseman Eaton Dies at 87

Minnesota horseman Arthur J. Eaton Jr., 87, of Randolph Township, Minn., died Oct. 28 in Minneapolis.
Eaton and his wife Gretchen began racing horses at Canterbury Park in 1986 and they also bred and raised Thoroughbreds. The Eatons, multiple stakes winners as owners, continued to campaign horses until Art's death.
Eaton is a member of the Canterbury Park Hall of Fame, inducted in 2003.
A wake will be held at Lundberg Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 4 from 3-8 p.m. and the funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 5 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m..
