Songbird after her Distaff loss to Beholder
Fox Hill Farm's champion Songbird will get a freshening at WinStar Farm near Versailles, Ky., before returning to Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer for her 4-year-old campaign.
Hollendorfer said Nov. 6 that the 3-year-old Medaglia d'Oro filly, who finished second to champion Beholder Nov. 4 in a Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I) for the ages, will take about a month or month and a half off before shipping back to his Southern California base.

Previously undefeated Songbird followed a similar routine at the end of her championship 2-year-old campaign. She has 11 wins from 12 starts, for earnings of $3,712,000.
