2016 Fasig-Tipton November Sale
Lady Zuzu, a graded-placed half sister to graded stakes winner Optimizer sold for $2.35 million to the French owner/breedersWertheimer et Frere late in the Nov. 7 Fasig-Tipton November sale.
Her second dam is the grade I winner and grade I producer Fantastic Find, a daughter of Mr. Prospector, who produced multiple grade I winner Finder's Fee.
Pierre-Yves Bureau, with Wertheimer et Frere, said Lady Zuzu was the only mare they bid on. The 4-year-old daughter of Dynaformer is believed in foal to Claiborne Farm's War Front .
"She was expensive of course, but she is a nice mare, in foal to a very good stallion," Bureau said. "Hopefully the mating works. That’s the kind of mare we’re looking for a broodmare band. She was the one that we wanted."
