Jockey Sarah Shaffer suffered three broken ribs and a broken clavicle during a first-race spill Nov. 12 at Laurel Park.
The turf race was ruled a no contest and all wagers were refunded after Shaffer fell from her mount, Boston Strong, crossing the finish line for the first time in the 1 1/16-mile contest.
Outriders had jockeys pull their mounts up on the backstretch as Shaffer was removed from the grass course.
Shaffer, a 10-pound apprentice, has won five races this year from 37 mounts, along with a second and seven thirds. She earned her first victory in 2015.
