Another filly from the blockbuster Conquest Stables dispersal lit up the Keeneland November breeding stock sale bid board Nov. 14 when Conquest Serenade was purchased by Barbara Banke's Stonestreet Stable for $800,000.

Consigned by Lane's End as part of the complete dispersal of Conquest Stables, the daughter of Unbridled's Song is a half sister to Canadian Horse of the Year Fatal Bullet and has two wins and one second from four starts, with earnings of $74,800.

Bidding on the gray filly bred in Florida by David J. Lavoie and the Unbridled's Song Syndicate opened at $300,000.

John Moynihan, who signed the ticket, said the filly will remain in training with Mark Casse, with the hope of winning a stake with her.

“She’s pretty, she’s by Unbridled’s Song who is a great broodmare sire and we’re praying she’s going to win a stake for us,” Moynihan said. “She is a half to a champion and she could run some. We just thought we would take a shot.”

Moynihan said he had discussed the filly with Casse before buying her. “He likes her."

Produced from the stake-placed Regal Classic mare Sararegal, Conquest Serenade is also a half sister Millennia.

Fatal Bullet, a multiple stakes-winning gelded son of Red Bullet, was champion sprinter in Canada in addition to taking down top honors in that country and was a multiple grade III winner in the U.S. while finishing second in the Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Sprint (gr. I).
