Remington Riders, Trainers Near Milestones

Several Remington Park trainers and riders are nearing career milestones and will have the opportunity to achieve their individual marks at Remington Park when the track resumes racing Friday, Nov. 25.

Jockey Israel Ocampo will go into racing on Friday afternoon with 999 career victories. Ocampo is scheduled to ride in four races on Friday.

Trainer Clinton Stuart of Edmond, Okla., sits at 995 career wins. He has three horses that will start at Zia Park in Hobbs, N.M. on Wednesday that could help draw him closer to 1,000 career victories. Friday afternoon at Remington Park, Stuart has just one horse entered, St Albert Abbey in the eighth and final race on the program.

Trainer Joe Offolter of Blanchard, Okla. will enter the Friday program with 497 career wins at Remington Park. Offolter will become just the third trainer in Remington Park history to achieve 500 local wins, joining Donnie Von Hemel and Steve Asmussen. Offolter will saddle two horses on Friday afternoon with Tiz A Hissy Fit in race two and Linda's Victory in race six. 

There are just nine race dates remaining in the 2016 Remington Park Thoroughbred Season that concludes on Dec. 11. Racing resumes on Friday, Nov. 25 with a special 3pm start time. Saturday night racing on Nov. 26 is at the normal time of 7pm. All times Central.
