Fair Grounds to Not Race on Super Bowl Sunday

Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots announced Nov. 25 that the live racing program originally scheduled for Feb. 5 will be moved to March 13.
Fair Grounds determined that it was in the best interest of racing to avoid running on that Sunday given traditional low turnout for racing across the country due to the Super Bowl.
All other operations at Fair Grounds, including the slots floor and the Fair Grounds OTB, will be open during the usual hours on Feb. 5. First post on March 13 will be 1:25 p.m.
