Trainer Broberg Lands Career Win 2,000

Trainer Karl Broberg secured the 2,000th victory of his career when he sent out Mr. Graceful to a front-running score in the ninth race Nov. 26 at Delta Downs.
Broberg, well on his way to a third straight season as leading trainer by wins, has notched 348 victories this year through Nov. 27. That victory total is more than 50 ahead of second-place Steve Asmussen.
Broberg finished as leading trainer by wins in 2015 with 420 and in 2014 with 325. In 2013 he ranked second in wins with 243.
Some of the top horses trained by Broberg include multiple stakes winners It's the Swede, Diva's Diamond, A M Milky Way, Heitai, Snappy Girl, Triumph and Song, Patty's Pride, and Joy's Paradise.
Owned by Jason Guidry, Mr. Graceful scored a two-length win in the Nov. 26 race, a claiming event at Delta. The 3-year-old Louisiana-bred gelding completed the seven-furlong race in 1:27.38.
