Social Inclusion winning at Gulfstream Park

Social Inclusion  , a grade I-placed, record-setting son of Pioneerof the Nile  , will stand at Woodford Thoroughbreds near Reddick, Fla., for the 2017 season.

Raced by Rontos Racing Stable, Social Inclusion broke his maiden by 7 1/2 lengths during the 2014 Gulfstream Park winter meet. He followed that strong effort with a record-setting performance in allowance company going 1 1/16 miles in 1:40.97 and defeating favorite and eventual 2015 champion older horse Honor Code   by 10 lengths at Gulfstream.

Social Inclusion would go on to place in TwinSpires.com Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. I), the Preakness Stakes (gr. I), and the Woody Stephens Stakes (gr. II). He retired with a record of 3-1-3 in nine starts and earnings of $450,800.

He is the first black-type performer and fourth winner out of the grade II-placed Saint Bernadette (Saint Ballado) and will be the first son of Pioneerof the Nile to stand in Florida. The deal to bring Social Inclusion to Woodford Thoroughbreds was handled by Carlos Rafael, a Woodford client and owner/breeder in Florida and Kentucky.

Social Inclusion's stud fee has been set at $4,000 stands and nurses.

Woodford Thoroughbreds also announced the fees for the other five stallions on its roster, who are all part of its Woodford Flex Plan—a program that offers a combination of breeding incentives and deferred payments.

Leading the roster is He's Had Enough   and Soldat  , who both will stand for $5,000 next year. He's Had Enough is a winning grade I-placed son of Tapit   who will have his first crop of yearlings next year. A grade II-winning son of War Front  , Soldat had his first yearlings this year, with his top price at auction going to $155,000 at the Ocala Breeders' Sales' August sale.

Under the Flex Plan, breeders who use He's Had Enough or Soldat can breed one mare at $5,000 and then wait to pay the stud fee out of sale proceeds or until Nov. 1 of the resulting foal's yearling year. If two mares are bred to either sire, a breeder pays $2,500 for each and has the same timetable to pay. Any breeder who breeds at least one mare to He's Had Enough or Soldat will receive a complimentary season to Biondetti  , Crown of Thorns  , or Currency Swap  .

Biondetti, a son of Bernardini   and currently Florida's leading freshman sire, will stand for $4,000. Currency Swap (High Cotton  ) will stand for $2,500, and Crown of Thorns (Repent) will stand for $2,000.

The Flex Plan options for Biondetti, Currency Swap, and Crown of Thorns also allow payment of stud fees from sale proceeds or deferral until Nov. 1 of the yearling year. Breeders can get a discount for breeding multiple mares to these three sires as well but the mares but be approved first.
