Peace and Justice  , a three-time winning miler by War Front  , will stand at Diamond B Farm in Pennsylvania for 2017, according to agent Steve Young.

Out of the winning Smart Strike mare Strike the Sky, Peace and Justice is the only son of War Front standing in Pennsylvania.

Bred in Kentucky by Jay Bligh, Peace and Justice was a $425,000 Keeneland September sale yearling in 2011 as part of the Claiborne Farm consignment. He was purchased by bloodstock agent David Ingordo for Justice Family Racing.

"He was a gorgeous yearling,” Ingordo said. “(He had a) strong, athletic walk—a really well-balanced War Front colt with a lot of scope. From the first day we put tack on him at Mayberry Farm, we always felt he was special.”

Peace and Justice won his debut going a mile on the turf at Belmont Park by two lengths, going wire-to-wire to defeat a field that included future stakes winners Mail and Catholic Cowboy.

He also scored twice at Santa Anita Park, including a 5 1/4-length romp over graded stakes winner Quiet Force.

He followed that win with another victory, defeating graded winners Drill   and My Best Brother, getting a mile on turf in 1:32.36.

Peace and Justice is half brother to multiple stakes winner Hudson Steele, winner of the Dixie Stakes (gr. IIT), and Lauren Byrd, runner-up in Keeneland’s Jessamine Stakes and the dam of grade I-placed My Man Sam.

“We have a lot of confidence in this horse,” Young said. “At 16.2 hands, he’s a great physical and a brilliant son of one of the best sires in the world.”

Peace and Justice is owned by A1A Racing and will stand for $3,500.

He will be available for inspection during Diamond B Farm's Stallion Showcase Jan. 22.
