Dutchess Views Lowers Fee for Big Brown

Big Brown will stand the 2017 season for $7,500

Dutchess Views Farm near Pine Plains, New York has announced the 2017 fees for its roster of stallions, which includes two of this year's leading New York sires, Big Brown   and Bellamy Road  .

Big Brown (Boundary—Mien, by Nureyev), the sire of grade I stakes winner Dortmund and also represented this season by grade II winner Kiss To Remember, will be offered for $7,500 after standing for a $10,000 fee in 2016. He ranks fourth on the New York sire list this year, and nationally is represented by 77 winners from 164 starters, with four stakes winners and a graded stakes winner.

Moved to New York in 2015 after standing at Three Chimneys Stud from 2009 to 2014, Big Brown also shuttled to Vinery Australia from 2010 to 2014.

Bellamy Road (Concerto—Hurry Home Hillary, by Deputed Testamony), whose leading earner this year is grade II winner Land Over Sea, remains at $7,500. He ranks third on the New York sire list in 2016, and nationally has 107 winners from 212 starters, with six stakes winners and one graded stakes winner. He moved to the Empire State after first standing at Hurricane Hall (2007-08), Pauls Mill (2009-10), and WinStar Farm (2011-15).

Heavy Breathing (Giant's Causeway  —Takesmybreathaway, by Gone West) remains at $2,500 for 2017, as does Marsh Side   (Gone West—Colonial Play, by Pleasant Colony).
