Weather Forces Several Cancellations

Turfway Park, Parx Racing, and Portland Meadows all cancelled their entire live racing cards Dec. 18 cards because of inclement weather.
Fairgrounds Race Course & Slots got the first race in on its Sunday card, but cancelled the final eight contests because of heavy rain in the New Orleans area.
"The safety of our jockeys and horses will always be our top priority," said Jason Boulet, Fairgrounds senior director of racing. "In the interest of safety for all of our participants, we have canceled the remainder of the Sunday racing program."
