Belmont Stakes-winning trainer Kelly Breen grew up at Monmouth Park, where he started out doing farm works and mucking stalls to get on one horse. From that point on the racetrack was his life.
After a stretch following in his father's footsteps apprenticing for the Local 638 Steamfitters in Manhattan, Breen went back to the racetrack for good and paved his own path to success as a Thoroughbred trainer.
Breen earned a signature victory in 2011 when Ruler On Ice won the Belmont Stakes.
