Grade I winner Eskendereya was represented by his first winner July 10 when Siena Farm's homebred Isabella Sings went wire-to-wire to take the first race at Belmont Park .
Ridden by Joel Rosario for trainer Todd Pletcher, the 2-year-old filly skipped over the firm inner turf course in a quick 1:08.94 for six furlongs as the 4-1 second choice. Eskenformoney, another daughter of Eskenderaya trained by Pletcher, finished fourth as the even-money favorite.
A leading 3-year-old of 2010 campaigned by Zayat Stables, Eskendereya won all three starts that season, including the Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. I) by 9 3/4 lengths and the Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. II) by 8 1/2 lengths. He was favored to win the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) before being withdrawn and eventually retired due to injury.
A son of Giant's Causeway , Eskendereya stands at Taylor Made Stallions near Nicholasville, Ky., where his 2014 fee was $17,500.
