Tumblebrutus, a grade 2-placed full brother to Giant's Causeway  , got his 25th black-type stakes winner March 24 when Chilean-bred Vinocrata won the listed Luis Subercaseaux E. Stakes at Club Hipico de Santiago.

Undefeated Vinocrata is a 2-year-old colt bred by Haras Don Beno and is the first stakes winner out of Pietra, a winning daughter of Indy Vidual. Pietra has now produced six winners from six runners of racing age.

Trained by Rodrigo Sanchez Quinteros and ridden by Felipe Henriquez, Vinocrata prevailed in a tough stretch battle with favorite Guapo Soy to win the 1,200-meter (six-furlong) turf stakes by 1 1/4 lengths in 1:08.88.

Tumblebrutus, a 16-year-old son of Storm Cat—Mariah's Storm, by Rahy, entered stud in 2005 at Walmac Farm in Central Kentucky. By 2008 he had been relocated to Chile, first to Haras Mocito Guapo and then to Haras Carioca in 2013-14. Now back at Haras Mocito Guapo, Tumblebrutus was the leading Chilean general sire from 2011-2013.

The stallion's greatest successes have been in South America, where he sired all his black-type stakes winners and 18 graded stakes winners. His top runners include seven champions: in Chile, 2009 champion 2-year-old Tim Bero and 2014 champion 3-year-old Sposito; and in Equador, Bafana Bafana (2012), La Faraona (2014, 2016), La Teacher (2013), Tulio (2011, 2012), and Polvo de Estrellas (2015).
