The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) announced March 30 that Churchill Downs, Incorporated (CDI) has re-joined the organization and that Bill Mudd, President and Chief Operating Officer of CDI, has been appointed to the NTRA's Board of Directors.
"We are delighted to welcome Churchill Downs Incorporated back into the NTRA," said Alex Waldrop, NTRA President & CEO. "For many years CDI has been a pioneering leader in our industry and we look forward to receiving their input on NTRA matters as we work together for the betterment of Thoroughbred racing nationally."
CDI operates three Thoroughbred racetracks: Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.; Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots, in New Orleans, La.; and, Arlington International Racecourse, in Arlington Heights, Ill. Additionally, CDI owns TwinSpires.com, the largest online account wagering platform for horseracing in the U.S.
