The 2014 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T) winner Bobby's Kitten   will shuttle to Twin Hills Stud in New South Wales, Australia from Kirsten Rausing's Lanwades Stud in Newmarket, England, it was announced March 31.

He will be the first son of Kitten's Joy   to stand in Australia.

The Ken and Sarah Ramsey homebred won the 2013 Pilgrim Stakes (G3T) by 6 1/4 lengths as a juvenile. At 3, he placed in both the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (G2T) and the Ricoh Woodbine Mile (G1T) before taking the Turf Sprint.

After finishing 4th in the 2015 Turf Sprint, Ramsey sent Bobby's Kitten to Europe with an eye on Royal Ascot. After winning Ireland's 2016 Cork Sprint Stakes by 8 1/2 lengths, Rausing made an offer to buy the horse and he became the first son of Kitten's Joy to stand in Europe.

"Bobby's Kitten is an excellent prospect," said Olly Tait, owner of Twin Hills Stud. "He has all the attributes you look for in a stallion. He was a top 2-year-old, a (grade) 1-winning sprinter at 3, has an outstanding pedigree, and is a magnificent looking horse, with strength, scope, and quality."

Out of the Forestry mare Celestial Woods, Bobby's Kitten stands for £12,500 (about US$15,500) at Lanwades for 2017, his first year at stud. His Australian fee will be AU$16,500 (about $12,600).
