Clipthecouponannie's undefeated record will be on the line when she faces five other fillies and mares in the Distaff Handicap

Repole Stable's homebred Clipthecouponannie's undefeated record will be on the line when she steps up in class and faces five other fillies and mares in the $150,000 Distaff Handicap (G3) at Aqueduct Racetrack April 9.

The seven-furlong Distaff will be the first start of the year for 4-year-old daughter of Uncle Mo  . She enters off 2 1/4-length score in a Dec. 16 six-furlong allowance optional claiming race at Gulfstream Park. One start prior in her only stakes attempt, the Todd Pletcher trainee won the Franklin Square Stakes by a half-length in a front-running fashion. She breaks from post 6 under Rajiv Maragh and will carry 116 pounds.

The two graded stakes winners in the field are slated to carry the highweight of 117. Phipps Stable's homebred Carrumba has hit the board in her last five starts, all in graded stakes. Making her first start since her loss to Curalina in Shuvee Handicap (G3) at Saratoga Race Course July 31, she will break from post 5 Sunday with John Velazquez up. After winning her 2016 debut last April, the grade 3 Top Flight Invitational Handicap, she then finished runner up to Cavorting in the Ruffian Stakes (G2) before running third in the grade 1 Ogden Phipps Stakes.

The other highweight is Chester and Mary Broman's homebred Highway Star, who was fourth last time out in the Ladies Handicap at Aqueduct in January after a wide trip throughout. Before that effort, the 4-year-old daughter of Girolamo   won two back-to-back stakes including the Go For Wand Handicap (G3), where she nosed out High Ridge Road

Charles Fipke's homebred Tale for Ruby has made two starts this year, winning an allowance optional claiming race by a length at Gulfstream in February. In her last race of 2016, the Tale of Ekati   filly won the Safely Kept Stakes at Laurel Park by 2 1/4 lengths after being bumped at the start.

Also entered are allowance winners Indulgent and Kelsocait.
