This weekend marked just the second time I’ve been to Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Ark. – but in that pair of visits, I’ve completely fallen in love with the racetrack. Some clichés are in place for a reason, and the one about Southern hospitality applies in full at Oaklawn Park. The track is the friendliest sporting venue I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting, and the Arkansas Derby brings out the best at this outstanding oval.
