Hip 28, an Orb colt, brought $685,000
An Orb colt purchased for $30,000 as a yearling lit up the Ocala Breeders’ Sales bid board April 25 when purchased by Three Chimneys Bloodstock for $685,000.
Consigned by Randy Miles, the colt had been purchased for $30,000 by Royal Flush Racing from breeder Claiborne Farm at the Keeneland September yearling sale. The colt is a product of a a solid Claiborne family, with third dam the grade 1-winning Mr. Prospector mare Preach.
