Hill 'n' Dale Farms-based stallion Power Broker   picked up his first winner April 21 when Jade Girl won a maiden-claiming race at Hipodromo de las Americas in Mexico City.

A grade 1-winning 7-year-old son of Pulpit, Power Broker stands for $3,500 at Hill 'n' Dale Farms near Lexington. Campaigned by Gary and Mary West, Power Broker won the 2012 FrontRunner Stakes (G1) at Santa Anita Park, finished second in the 2013 William Hill Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1), and won the 2013 Indiana Derby (G2).

Bred in Kentucky by Jamm Ltd., Power Broker is out of the stakes-winning Wild Again mare Shop Again, who is a half sister to grade 2-winning sire Trappe Shot  .

One of two starters to date for Power Broker, Cuadra Sureste's Jade Girl won in her fourth start, scoring a three-quarter-length victory Friday going 4 1/2 furlongs. She is trained by Leonardo Navarro Dircio and was guided to victory by Ruben Lara.

Jade Girl was purchased for $1,200 by Enrique Cantarell at the 2016 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall yearlings sale, from the Paramount Sales consignment. Out of the stakes-placed Harlan's Holiday mare Piper Jade, Jade Girl was bred in Kentucky by Gary and Mary West Stables.
