Enable gets black-type in her third start as she wins the Cheshire Oaks at Chester

Newsells Park Stud's second-crop sire Nathaniel got his first black-type stakes winner May 10 when Juddmonte Farms' homebred Enable won the Arkle Finance Cheshire Oaks at England's Chester Racecourse.

The 3-year-old filly, trained by John Gosden, has now won twice and finished third once in three starts. She broke he maiden in her only start at 2 in the 32red.com Maiden Fillies Stakes at Newcastle.

Enable won the Cheshire Oaks, run at just over a mile and three furlongs on good-to-firm turf, by 1 3/4 lengths in 2:23.80. Top international rider Frankie Dettori was in the irons.

Bred in Great Britain, Enable is the first stakes winner and second black-type runner produced by Juddmonte Farms' homebred and group-placed stakes winner Concentric. Enable's is a half sister to group-2 placed Contribution (Champs Elysees).

Nathaniel, a 9-year-old son of Galileo—Magnificent Style (Silver Hawk), is a multiple group stakes winner that captured the 2011 Betfair King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (G1) and 2012 Coral Eclipse Stakes (G1). He placed in three other group 1s in his 11 starts that yielded $2,335,262 in earnings. He was raced by Lady Rothschild and Newsells Park Stud, where he stands for £17,500.

Nathaniel has also sired group-placed winners Kastano, out of Kastila (Sternkoenig); and Enjoy Vijay, out of Enjoy The Life (Medicean), who finished second and third, respectively, in a group 3 stakes at Krefeld.
