Trainer Graham Motion took great care to avoid a 2017 debut over a boggy Churchill Downs course last weekend with Miss Temple City. That marked the second delay in this year's campaign for the strapping bay, who gave her connections the slip one morning in March at Palm Meadows, returned with filling in a leg, and did not make a planned start at Keeneland in April as a result. Pre-entered in both the June 20 Queen Anne Stakes (G1) and the June 21 Duke of Cambridge Stakes (G2), Miss Temple City is running out of time to get a stateside race under her girth.

The 5-year-old daughter of Fastnet Rock is diving straight into deep waters for her North American debut, as she is scheduled to take on seven male rivals, including defending race winner Wake Forest.

Grade 1 winner Noted and Quoted will look to regain her form around one turn after two poor performances. The daughter of The Factor won the Chandelier Stakes (G1) Oct. 1 at Santa Anita, but followed that performance with a seventh-place finish in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) and she was eased in her 3-year-old debut last time out March 26 in the Sunland Park Oaks.
