Terra Promessa won her first two starts of 2017, including the Pippin Stakes

Stonestreet Stables' homebred Terra Promessa headlines a field of eight fillies and mares in the $150,000 Allaire DuPont Distaff Stakes (G3) May 19 at Pimlico Race Course, after a runner-up finish to champion Stellar Wind in her last start.

The 4-year-old filly won four of her eight starts last year, which included victories in the Honeybee and Fantasy stakes (both G3) at Oaklawn Park, before she finished 10th in the Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1). Trainer Steve Asmussen sent her out seven months later in the She's All In Handicap at Remington Park, where she again finished off the board.

This year the daughter of Curlin   scored in the Jan. 14 Pippin Stakes and the grade 3 Bayakoa Stakes back at Oaklawn Feb. 18.

After defeating James Courtney's 7-year-old Power of Snunner in the Bayakoa by 4 3/4 lengths, Terra Promessa came in just behind the fellow DuPont Distaff entrant in the March 18 Azeri Stakes (G2) to finish fifth in the race won by Streamline.

Terra Promessa finished second in her most recent start, the April 14 Apple Blossom Handicap (G1) again at Oaklawn, just 1 1/4 lengths behind Stellar Wind, but this time 3 1/4 lengths in front of Streamline, who finished third in the 1 1/16-mile contest.

Power of Snunner may benefit from the 1 1/8 miles of the DuPont Distaff. The daughter of Power by Far is coming off a second-place finish in the 1 1/16-mile Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare Stakes (G3) at Keeneland, where she rallied to just miss by three-quarters of a length. The stakes-winning mare only recently found herself in graded company after being transferred to the barn of trainer Joe Sharp prior to her only start of 2016, the Dec. 31 Pan Zareta Stakes, where she finished second.

Trainer John Servis will send Mo' Green in the DuPont Distaff for owner Leonard Green. The 4-year-old Uncle Mo   filly recently became a graded stakes winner in the April 2 Top Flight Invitational Stakes (G3) at Aqueduct Racetrack. Run at the same distance as Friday's race, Mo' Green won the Top Flight by 3 1/2 lengths.

Prior to the Top Flight, Mo' Green was runner-up in the grade 2 Royal Delta Stakes at Gulfstream Park. She has finished first or second in her last four starts and has a lifetime record of 4-3-1 from 11 races.

Phipps Stable homebred Carrumba, trained by Shug McGaughey, will seek to regain winning form. The 5-year-old daughter of Bernardini   comes into the race off a fourth-place finish in the Vagrancy Handicap (G3). After taking the 2016 Top Flight Invitational, she finished out last year with two seconds in graded stakes and a third in the grade 1 Ogden Phipps Stakes.

C R K Stable's She's a Warrior only has two wins in her 11 starts, but showed class to finish third in last year's Santa Anita Oaks (G1). Trained by Peter Eurton, the Majestic Warrior filly comes off a win in an optional-claiming allowance race at Santa Anita Park April 17, her first start of the year.

Multiple stakes winner Winter and allowance winners Shes a True Beauty and Serious Happiness round out the field.
