Saturday’s Belmont Stakes card promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year for Thoroughbred racing fans and bettors alike, with eight graded stakes including the historic Metropolitan Handicap (G1), aka the Met Mile, preceding what should be a very competitive 149th running of the Belmont Stakes (G1).
NBC will present four hours of television coverage from Belmont Park, featuring hosts Bob Costas and Mike Tirico, lead analysts Randy Moss and Hall of Famer Jerry Bailey, and the rest of NBC Sports’ award-winning team. Coverage of the stakes-packed undercard will air from 3-5 p.m EDT on NBCSN, and will then switch to NBC at 5 p.m. for the lead-up to the Belmont Stakes, which is scheduled for a post time of approximately 6:37 p.m. ET.
A highlight of the week’s radio and online streaming coverage is the upcoming “The Winner’s Circle” podcast, presented by America’s Best Racing in conjunction with SB Nation Radio. Host Bram Weinstein’s scheduled featured guest is NBC’s Randy Moss. The program airs at 10 a.m. EDT on the SB Nation Radio network of stations, at www.sbnationlive.com, and on the SB Nation Radio app.
