The record-setting heat wave in California has led the Oak Tree Racing Association to cancel the June 22 opening day of the Pleasanton meet.
For the fourth consecutive year, the 16-day meet will be held in conjunction with the Alameda County Fair at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds through July 9.
The meet is highlighted by the $100,000 Everett Nevin Stakes on July 8. Additional stakes on the calendar are $50,000 June Gonzalez Memorial Stakes (July 1) and $50,000 Oak Tree Sprint on the Independence Day card July 4.
