Fourstar Crook makes it seven wins in a row in the Mount Vernon Stakes

Fourstar Crook steps out of her native New York for the first time and will put her seven-race win streak on the line when she breaks from the outside in the 10-horse field for the $200,000 Dr. James Penny Memorial Stakes (G3T) at Parx Racing July 4.

The 5-year-old Fourstar Crook is one of three entrants in the 1 1/16-miles test from the barn of Eclipse Award-winner Chad Brown. She is stepping into graded company for the first time, but brings far and away the most momentum to the table as she has not dropped a race since running fourth in a maiden test at Saratoga Race Course in July 2015.

Since that time, the New York-bred daughter of Freud   has done nothing but visit her state's various winner's circles. After breaking her maiden at fourth asking at Belmont Park in October 2015,  she prevailed against allowance company in her next three outings before rattling off stakes wins against state-breds in the Yaddo Stakes, the John Hettinger Stakes last September, and a three-quarter length victory during her seasonal bow in the May 29 Mount Vernon Stakes going one mile.

Bred by Kathleen Feron, Fourstar Crook is owned by Michael Dubb, Bethlehem Stables LLC, and Gary Aisquith. She has seven wins from 10 starts with $424,050 in earnings.

Fourstar Crook will be book ended in the starting gate by stablemate Light in Paris, who will break from the rail and enters off a runner-up finish in the Eatontown Stakes (G3T) June 3. Fellow stablemate Elysea's World hasn't been off the board in her last four starts and was most recently third in the May 20 Gallorette Stakes (G3T).

Graham Motion-trained Tin Type Gal is a multiple graded stakes winner but has dropped three straight since taking the Boiling Springs Stakes (G3T) last July and was seventh in the Eatontown last out.
