Woodbine Entertainment reports a third straight year of record Queen's Plate day handle as the 13-race card July 2 at Woodbine saw handle of $13,560,678.

The $13.56 million wagered is the record at Woodbine for any non-Breeders' Cup day. The all-sources handle mark for the 1996 Breeders' Cup at Woodbine was $67,738,890.

The record handle number Sunday is up 14.5% from last year's 13-race card that saw $11,839,883 wagered, which had been the previous non-Breeders' Cup day record. That mark followed $11,064,870 wagered on Queen's Plate day in 2015.

This year's handle is up 54.6% from the $8.77 million wagered on Queen's Plate day in 2011.
