Dozen Added to Fasig-Tipton Horses of Racing Age Sale

Fasig-Tipton has added a dozen entries to its ever-expanding selected horses of racing age sale scheduled for July 10 at the Newtown Paddocks in Lexington.

The latest additions bring the number of horses cataloged to the sale that begins at 5 p.m. EDT to 125, with Fasig-Tipton continuing to accept entries until day of the sale that precedes the July 11 selected yearling sale.

One newcomer to the sale is Rose to Fame, a 2-year-old daughter of Gemologist   consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency as Hip 522. The filly trained by Antonio Sano for Sano Racing Stables is unbeaten in two starts, with a victory July 1 in the Brave Raj Stakes at Gulfstream Park. A half sister to Dazzling Gem, the third-place finisher in the 2016 Twinspires.com Louisiana Derby (G2), Rose to Fame descends from the female family of champion Serena's Song.

Adventist, a grade 1-placed son of Any Given Saturday, was among the additions to the sale, consigned as Hip 515 under Hidden Brook's banner. But the 4-year-old, who finished third in last year's Wood Memorial Stakes (G1) and placed in three additional graded stakes, has subsequently been withdrawn from the auction. The colt, who has earned in excess of $340,000, has run mostly on grass this year, with two victories and two fourths from four turf starts, the most recent a mile victory at Ellis Park July 4.
