Hong Kong-Based Trainer Gary Ng to Retire

Trainer Gary Ng has announced his retirement effective when the current season concludes July 16.
Ng began training in Hong Kong in the 1990-91 season and accumulated 489 wins (as of July 13).
Among the best horses Ng trained are Billion Win, Kingston Treasure, Sweet Sanette, Sure Win King, and Basic Instinct.
"We are most appreciative of Gary's dedication to the sport over the last 26 seasons," said Hong Kong Jockey Club CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges. "We wish him all the best in his retirement."
