Juddmonte's Enable seeks Oaks Double

Enable will seek an Oaks double when she leads a field of 10 for the Darley Irish Oaks (G1) July 15 at the Curragh.

The Juddmonte Farms homebred daughter of Nathaniel drew off in the final furlong of the Investec Oaks (G1) at Epsom and won by five lengths over the favorite, Rhododendron, and an additional six lengths from another of her Curragh rivals, Alluringly.

Jockey Frankie Dettori, back from the shoulder injury that forced him to miss the Royal Ascot meeting, will keep the mount for trainer John Gosden. 

Gosden will also saddle Denford Stud homebred Coronet, a Dubawi filly who finished fifth at Epsom, then stepped up to win the Ribblesdale Stakes (G2) at Royal Ascot in her last start.

Rain Goddess appears the better of two fillies saddled by Aidan O'Brien, as the Irish training master, a five-time winner of the Irish Oaks, is unusually short-handed for this renewal. The Galileo filly, out of the Danehill Dancer mare Where, has but a single victory after finishing second in both the Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot and Pretty Polly Stakes (G1) at the Curragh July 2.

The other O'Brien charge, Alluringly, has tailed off since she won a maiden event at Tipperary in her 3-year-old debut.

Joseph O'Brien, Aidan O'Brien's son and former jockey, will saddle Intricately, a Fastnet Rock filly who has been unable to duplicate the form she displayed when she won the Moyglare Stud Stakes (G1) in September.

The Aga Khan is represented by his homebred Teofilo filly Eziyra, who has not finished worse than second in five starts.
