Entourage Stable's Ontario-bred Pink Lloyd was assigned top weight for Woodbine's $125,000 Vigil Stakes (G3) for 3-year-olds and older July 16.
The 5-year-old son of Old Forrester, who will carry 124 pounds in the seven-furlong Vigil, is undefeated in three stakes races this year.
Although Pink Lloyd has not scored in a graded stakes, he was runner-up in his only effort at that level, the six-furlong Kennedy Road Stakes (G2) in November. He was beaten a length by multiple graded stakes winner Stacked Deck.
Trained by Robert Tiller, Pink Lloyd has raced exclusively at the Toronto track. The gelding's last four timed works at four furlongs were at or quicker than :47 3/5 over the all-weather track.
Pink Lloyd, who won the April 15 Jacques Cartier, the May 6 New Providence, and the June 10 Achievement stakes, has two losses in eight starts. He will face five other rivals in the Vigil that will carry 117 pounds each.
Grade 3 winner and Canada's 2015 champion 2-year-old Riker will likely be the toughest competition.
The 4-year-old Include colt won his first four starts as a 2-year-old, but then finished sixth in the Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1). Winless in 2016, the Nicholas Gonzalez trainee won an optional-claiming allowance April 29 at Woodbine.
Riker comes into the Vigil off a fifth-place finish in the May 20 Eclipse Stakes (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the all-weather track.
Irish-bred Great Wide Open will make his fourth start in North America and comes into the race off an unplaced effort in the Connaught Cup Stakes (G2T) June 3.
