Queen's Plate Stakes runner-up Tiz a Slam and multiple graded stakes placed State of Honor are set to face off again in the $500,000 Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie July 25.

In the 1 3/16-mile second leg of the Canadian Triple Crown, Chiefswood Stable's Tiz a Slam is slated as the morning-line favorite at 8-5 against six other Canadian-bred 3-year-olds. The Roger Attfield-trained Tiznow   colt ran second to Holy Helena in the Queen's Plate at Woodbine, finishing 3 1/2 lengths behind, but was wide on both turns of the 1 1/4-mile event. He's winless in three other starts this year, including another runner-up effort in the May 7 Wando Stakes at Woodbine, but closed out last year with a win on the turf in the Cup and Saucer Stakes in October at Woodbine.

Conrad Farm's homebred State of Honor looms a challenge to Tiz a Slam as the 5-2 morning-line second choice. The son of To Honor and Serve  , who was an also-ran in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1), was the pacesetter in the Queen's Plate but flattened out in the stretch and checked in eighth. The Mark Casse runner earned a place in the Kentucky Derby starting gate with three graded placings this spring, including a second place to Always Dreaming in the Xpressbet Florida Derby (G1), where he finished five lengths behind the winner and 1 1/2 lengths ahead of Gunnevera. Looking to break through to score his first stakes win Tuesday, State of Honor did outrun Tiz a Slam in the June 11 Plate Trial Stakes, finishing third, one length ahead of his fourth-place rival.

Looking to pull an upset is multiple stakes placed Woodbridge. The Langhfur gelding finished third by three-quarters of a length in the July 2 Charley Barley Stakes going one mile on the turf at Woodbine.

Also entered is Jurojin, a stakes winner as a juvenile who has finished off the board in all four starts this year.
