FATR Looking For Arlington Million's Best Dressed Lady

The Arlington Million is the biggest day of racing in Chicago, Ill. However, we aren’t here to talk about the racing … we are talking about the fashion!
Each year the Arlington Million brings in some of the best in international racing but it also brings some of the best racing fashion in America. It has put on a Hat Contest for years and this year we are stepping it up! We are looking not only at the hats but also at the #BestDressedLady!
The most stylish panel of judges the races have ever seen must choose only one winner out of a crowd of fabulous women. Tough? YES!
Fashion at the Races has teamed up with Arlington Park to put on a fantastic fashion competition. Even better … Valor Ladies’ is hosting a champagne toast for the top 20 finalists! We’ve always said fashion and horse racing go hand and hand. Well with Valor Ladies, it most definitely does as speed and style go hand-in-hand with this all-ladies ownership group. Sorry boys, you’re going to have to sit this one out!
Invites to the Best Dressed Contest will be handed out to the stylish ladies on track beginning when the gates open right at 10:45 a.m. on Aug. 16 at Arlington Park. The contest will take place next to the paddock near the Champagne Tent. Beginning at 1:25 p.m. the contestants will strut their stuff for the judges and the field will be cut down to the top 20. From those, only one Best Dressed Lady will be chosen!
The top 20 ladies will then be invited for a champagne toast hosted by Valor Ladies in the Champagne Tent. In addition, all contestants who participate will be given a gift bag from Fashion at the Races full of raceday and fashionable goodies! The winner will take home prizes from sponsors including Arlington Park, Valor Ladies, Fashion at the Races, and a $150 gift certificate from The Arboretum of South Barrington! We also have to give a big ‘Thank You’ to the Arlington Heights Florist for providing the winning bouquet.
The winner will also be showcased to the Arlington Million day crowd in the Arlington Park Winner's Circle!
FATR's own Bri Mott will be judging alongside CEO of Valor Ladies' Megan Jones (@ValorLadiesLLC). Gorgeous jockey and race fashionista, Stephanie Slinger (@Stephslinger) will be changing out of her silks and into a gorgeous dress and Formé Millinery piece to help pick the #BestDressedLady at her home track. The contests' fashionable Emcee is of course, none other than Arlington Park's own Alyssa Ali (@Alyssa_Ali).
Keep in mind that there is really only one rule. All of your fashion must be your own. You cannot promote a third party (borrowing from a designer to create promotion) in the contest. It is not fair to the ladies that worked hard to piece together and purchase their outfits on the day to try and win just as you will be!
