Paradise Woods and Avenge worked toward their Breeders' Cup engagements the morning of Oct. 20 with six-furlong jaunts at Santa Anita Park for trainer Richard Mandella.

Paradise Woods, who is training for the Nov. 3 Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1), completed the six furlongs in 1:14 flat, while Avenge, a contender for the Nov. 4 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1T), went in company in with Twentytwentyvision, and each received a time of 1:13 4/5.

Jockey Flavien Prat was aboard for both works.

"She went great—couldn't be doing any better," Mandella said of Paradise Woods, the frontrunning winner of the Zenyatta Stakes (G1) Sept. 30 in her most recent start.
