The Just For Fun Stable homebred, trained by Bernardo Lopez, took the $35,000 maiden claiming race in her second start. Sent off at odds of 7-2, she paid $9, $4.20, and $2.60. She was bred in Florida out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Impetuous Nelly.
Beau Choix, a son of Elusive Quality, is out of multiple graded stakes winner Belle Cherie (Belong to Me). Belle Cherie captured the 1999 Delta Air Lines Top Flight Handicap (G2) at Aqueduct Racetrack and is a half sister to multiple grade 1 winner Octave.
Beau Choix placed in the 2010 Jamaica Handicap (G1T) at Aqueduct and the Fourstardave Handicap (G2T) at Saratoga Race Course. He captured the Rob N Gin Stakes over the Belmont Park turf in 2011 and 2012.
