Roy H works under Kent Desormeaux at Del Mar

Peter Miller let out a relieved sigh as TwinSpires Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) hopeful Roy H galloped out under jockey Kent Desormeaux Oct. 31 after his drill at Del Mar, but the trainer wasn't even done with Breeders' Cup workers for the day.

Soon after he drove about 25 miles north to the San Luis Rey Training Center to get in a similar tightener into Rockingham Ranch's Stormy Liberal, who covered three furlongs in :37 2/5 in his final timed work for the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T).

When at Del Mar, Miller had talked Desormeaux through each furlong.

"Perfect, perfect, :12 and three (fifths). You can pick it up a tiny bit more," the trainer said through a radio. "Perfect. Beautiful. Thirty-seven (seconds). Let's get him back. Let's get him back in bubble wrap."

Under a tight hold by Desormeaux, the More Than Ready  gelding and last-out Santa Anita Sprint Championship Stakes (G1) winner eagerly went through his drill and was timed in :36 4/5 for three furlongs, with a gallop out to a half-mile in :49 2/5.

"He was just galloping," Miller said of the workout.

Also on the Del Mar work tab were Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1T) contenders Nezwaah and Wuheida, both Godolphin fillies by Dubawi (IRE). Nezwaah worked five furlongs on the main track in 1:01 4/5 for trainer Roger Varian, while Wuheida logged her breeze on the turf, where she covered six furlongs in 1:15 2/5. Filly & Mare Sprint (G1) entrant Highway Star rounded out the Breeders' Cup workers Tuesday with a three-furlong breeze in :38 1/5.
