Farrell takes the Nov. 4 Chilukki Stakes by a length at Churchill Downs Sept. 23 to return to winning form

Coffee Pot Stables' Farrell, the one-length winner of the Chilukki Stakes (G2), may try turf for the first time in the Nov. 24 Mrs. Revere Stakes (G2T) at Churchill Downs, according to trainer Wayne Catalano.

"I'm still deciding where to run her," Catalano said. "I nominated her for both the (grade 2) Falls City (Handicap on dirt) and Mrs. Revere to give us some options. I'd like to work her on the grass before deciding to run in the Mrs. Revere, but with the impending weather Saturday I don't know if we'll get a chance to breeze her on the turf. She's already beaten older horses so it wouldn't be a problem if she ran in the Falls City instead."

The National Weather Service forecast for Saturday includes a 100% chance of precipitation throughout the day.

The daughter of Malibu Moon  was a top pick for this year's Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) after winning four stakes in a row. She took the Golden Rod Stakes (G2) at Churchill in her graded stakes debut by six lengths, then went on to win the Silverbulletday Stakes, Rachel Alexandra Stakes (G2), and Twinspires.com Fair Grounds Oaks (G2), before finishing last over a sloppy, sealed track in the Kentucky Oaks.

Returning off a break from her Oaks effort, Farrell placed fifth in the Sept. 23 Dogwood Stakes, before taking the Nov. 4 Chilukki.

"She really bounced back in the Chilukki and proved the type of horse we always thought she was," Catalano said. "We're obviously keeping our options open for different spots for her, but she's doing really great."

The 1 1/8-mile $200,000 Falls City will be run Thanksgiving Day while the 1 1/16-mile $200,000 Mrs. Revere will be contested Nov. 24.

Bred in Kentucky, Farrell is out of the Unbridled's Song mare Rebridled Dreams, making her a half sister to grade 1 winner and sire Carpe Diem , as well as grade 1 winner J. B.'s Thunder.
